DOCTOR, DOCTOR, GIVE ME THE NEW

Dig out your chemistry textbook because this spring fashion merges with science. A sterile palette of labcoat white, H2O blue and aluminium grey is infused with dirty yellow and vivid mauve in all manner of high-tech fabrics to create what Denmark’s CIFF calls ‘Medical Poetry’.

AMERICAN WOMAN, LISTEN WHAT I SAY

Denim anchors this American-flavoured theme. The distinctly casual aesthetic calls in campus classics such as cheked shirts and primary-coloured sweaters, but there’s room for new season’s twists such as marbled or coloured denim, carrot-style jeans and floral patterning on flat lace-up oxfords.

GET FOLKED

You’ve buried boho and sighed at foho, but there’s no reason to fear what Fashion Platz is calling ‘sofo’ (southern folk). Inspired by South American village life, this theme calls for more order than the prairie looks of old. The spectrum spans freshly picked boysenberries, vibrant greens and blues, and neutrals dug straight from the earth.
